In Dillwyn, Jacob was dealing with bowing basement walls hidden behind finished drywall, as shown in the before photos. To access and properly repair the affected walls, Warren and his crew removed sections of drywall and installed 16 CarbonArmor® straps. CarbonArmor® is a low-profile wall stabilization system that provides exceptional strength while minimizing intrusion into the basement space.

Protecive sheeting

Installing the CarbonArmors does create some dust from sanding the walls smooth. We always take care to put up sheeting to avoid dust spreading throughout the home.

Wall Access

For the inspection process, small holes were cut in the dry wall to get a view at the block behind it.

After Repairs

Here you can see the wall after the CarbonArmors have been installed. Thanks to their low profile, you can finish back over them.
