This home in Scottsville had foundation walls that were cracked, concerning the homeowner. They reached out to Fortress for a solution to stabilize and support their foundation.
Fortress went out and installed our PowerBrace System. The PowerBraces permanently stabilize your home's foundation walls. Zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fit to your basement wall height and secured tight against your basement wall with brackets anchored to your basement floor and floor joists. PowerBrace's unique, patented design allows the system to be tightened over time, potentially reversing wall failure without any invasive drilling or digging on the property. This homeowner can now rest assured knowing that their foundation is stabilized!
Ray B. of Scottsville, VA reached out to Fortress about the horizontal crack in his basement wall. Looking to sell the home, he knew potential buys would walk away from a home with a compromised foundation! Fortress was able to respond quickly by sending out Zach Bullock, system designer, to provide a free estimate. Ray agreed and foreman, Warren Dickerson, was on the job installing the solution - PowerBraces. These steel I-beams are secured to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. This system reinforces the wall stopping any further bowing. Now this Scottsville, VA home is ready to go on the market!
This home in Drakes Branch had a chimney that had started separating from the home. This can be the result of the home's foundation settling.
Fortress went out and installed 3 PushPiers. The PushPiers will not only prevent further separation of the chimney, but they will lift that area of the foundation back to its original position!
This home was suffering from very early stages of wall failure. Some minimal bowing was found and we installed our CarbonArmor Wall Support System to prevent any further movement. CarbonArmor is a great, cost effective choice, when walls are suffering from 2 inches or less of deflection.
The foundation in this basement was bowing and had horizontal cracks along the walls. Fortress installed Carbon Armor straps along the wall to stabalize the foundation.
