This homeowner in Crewe called Fortress because they had noticed that the floors in their home had started sagging.
After explaining all the issues they were having over the phone, we sent one of our System Designers out to take a look! He recommended our SmartJack Crawl Space Support System. This system provides solid support for undersized beams and restores stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Fortress Foundation Solutions left this homeowner feeling much happier and safer in their own home!
This homeowner wanted to install new flooring in their Powhatan home, but had to address the sagging floors first. Part of their floor was being held up by a tree trunk! Chris Wilmouth, System Designer, came out to do a full inspection and provide a free estimate. Foreman, Warren Dickerson, who has lots of crawl space experience, came out with his crew to install Smart Jacks. These jacks provide stabilization for the floor joists to help sagging floors. Soon the floors were stabilized and ready to receive new flooring!
Joe W. of Powhatan, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing his floors sagging. System Designer, Zack Bullock, went out to meet with Joe, inspect the crawl space and provide a free estimate. Zach proposed Smart Jacks to lift the floor and an encapsulation to protect the floor joists from further moisture damage. Joe agreed! Foreman, Travis Farmer, was assigned to the job. He set the footers, installed the Smart Jack post under the beam, and lifted until the floor was stabilized. The final step was to install CleanSpace vapor barrier and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier sealing the house off from the damp ground below. Now when Joe walks across his kitchen he is confident knowing his floor is stable, his crawl space is clean & dry, eliminating future mold growth or floor sagging.
This homeowner in Warrenton contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions because they had some concerns about their foundation. There were several stair-step cracks on the outside walls of the house.
Fortress solved this problem by installing our Push Piers. Push Piers feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. They are installed next to the footings and attached with a heavy duty steel bracket. Soil is backfilled around the piers once stabilization and lifting is complete to finish the installation.
He's had an engineer come out who recommended us. All brick ranch home has broken/sinking footing. Interested in push piers.
They had gaps in the walls and windows that would not operate.
We went out and were able to lift the house 2.5 inches which closed the gaps in the walls and now they are able to open and close
windows that weren't functional.
The homeonwers were very excited that they had us come out and do this work for them.
