Bowing Wall Repair with CarbonArmor in Danville, Virginia
Challenge
Mr. Price in Danville, Virginia had started to notice a slight curve forming along one of his basement walls. It wasn’t dramatic but it was enough to raise concern. Rather than wait and risk a bigger structural issue, he decided to have it looked at early.
During our inspection, we confirmed the wall was beginning to bow inward due to pressure from the surrounding soil. While still in the early stages, it was the right time to step in before the problem progressed further.
Solution
To stabilize the wall and stop movement in its tracks, we recommended the CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System.
Nick B. and his crew installed 9 CarbonArmor straps along the affected wall. Each strap was bonded directly to the surface using high-strength epoxy, creating a strong, low-profile reinforcement system.
The installation immediately secured the wall, preventing any additional inward movement.
