Bowing Wall Repair in Huddleston, Virginia
Challenge
Kaitlynn in Huddleston, Virginia had started noticing signs that one of her basement walls was beginning to bow inward. What started as a small concern gradually became more noticeable over time, and she knew it was important to address the issue before it developed into a larger structural problem.
After inspecting the foundation, we found that pressure from the surrounding soil was pushing against the basement wall and causing it to move inward. Left untreated, the problem would likely continue to worsen over time.
Solution
To stabilize the wall and prevent further movement, Cope and his crew installed 6 PowerBrace® support beams along the affected section of the basement.
These steel beams are designed to reinforce bowing walls and provide long-term structural stability without the need for a full wall replacement. Once installed, the system immediately secured the wall and stopped additional inward movement.
By the time the project was complete, Kaitlynn’s basement wall was stabilized and properly supported. She now has peace of mind knowing her home is protected with a long-term structural solution in place.
