Bowing Wall Repaired with CarbonArmor in Bethesda, Maryland
Challenge
Kristen in Bethesda, Maryland had started noticing a slight inward bow forming along one of her basement walls. While the movement was still minor, she knew foundation issues tend to worsen over time and wanted to address the problem early before it turned into a larger structural concern.
After inspecting the basement, we found early signs of soil pressure pushing against the wall and causing it to shift inward. Because the issue had been caught early, the wall was a good candidate for a less invasive stabilization solution.
Solution
To reinforce the wall and prevent further movement, Toby and his crew installed 4 CarbonArmor® straps along the affected section of the basement.
These high-strength carbon fiber supports bond directly to the wall, creating a strong reinforcement system designed to stop additional inward movement while maintaining a low-profile appearance.
By the time the project was complete, the wall was stabilized and properly supported. Kristen now has peace of mind knowing the issue was handled early and her basement is protected with a long-term solution in place.
