Bowing Wall Repair Project in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Challenge
Tommy and Amber in Fredericksburg, Virginia had started noticing a slight inward bow forming along one section of their basement wall. While the movement was still minor, they knew foundation problems tend to worsen over time and wanted to address it before it became a larger structural issue.
After inspecting the basement, we found that pressure from the surrounding soil was beginning to push against the wall and cause inward movement. Fortunately, because the issue was caught early, the wall could be stabilized before more significant damage occurred.
Solution
To reinforce the affected area and stop further movement, the team installed 2 GeoLock® Wall Anchors along the basement wall.
These anchors extend into stable soil outside the home and work to counteract the pressure pushing against the foundation. Once installed, the system immediately stabilized the wall and provided long-term structural support.
By the time the project was complete, the wall was secure and properly reinforced. Tommy and Amber now have peace of mind knowing the issue was handled early and their foundation is protected moving forward.
