Challenge
Thurmont homeowner was referred to us by a radon company after concerns were raised about the home’s history of water intrusion. The previous owners had disclosed past water issues near the electrical panel, and that there was also a bowing wall in the basement and a joist supporting the kitchen subfloor was sagging, creating structural instability that needed to be addressed.
Solution
To stabilize the home and provide lasting support, Fortress installed 6 extra tall SmartJacks along with 18 feet of supplemental beam. This solution helped reinforce the sagging floor system, properly support the kitchen subfloor, and improve the overall structural integrity of the home.
