Concord, VA Bowing Wall Repair

This home in Concord had foundation walls that were cracked, concerning the homeowner. They reached out to Fortress for a solution to stabilize and support their foundation.

Fortress went out and installed our PowerBrace System. The PowerBraces permanently stabilize your home's foundation walls. Zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fit to your basement wall height and secured tight against your basement wall with brackets anchored to your basement floor and floor joists. PowerBrace's unique, patented design allows the system to be tightened over time, potentially reversing wall failure without any invasive drilling or digging on the property.

Concord, VA Foundation Settlement

This homeowner contacted Fortress with concerns that their home's foundation was settling. There was cracking and separating in the bricks and they wanted to get that stabilized.

Our System Designer, Scott LLewellyn, went out to assess this home and recommended that push piers be installed to lift and stabilize this foundation.

Push Piers feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. They are installed next to the footings and attached with a heavy duty steel bracket. Soil is backfilled around the piers once stabilization and lifting is complete to finish the installation.
