Chris noticed one of the basement walls in his Ruckersville, Virginia home beginning to bow inward. Concerned about the wall's stability, he wanted a permanent solution before the problem became more severe.
Travis and Jack stabilized the affected wall by installing 5 CarbonArmor Wall Support Straps. This low-profile reinforcement system is an excellent solution for minor wall movement, helping prevent further bowing while preserving valuable basement space.
In Timberville, John S. was dealing with a serious foundation issue in his basement after one wall developed significant inward bowing over time. The movement had become severe enough to impact the overall stability of the home, with clear signs of structural pressure and wall failure visible throughout the affected area.
Following a full inspection, Warren and his crew determined that the wall required a combination of stabilization systems to properly secure the structure. To stop further inward movement and reinforce the basement wall from inside the home, the team installed nine PowerBrace™ support beams across the affected area.
For additional stabilization in key sections of the wall, two GeoLock™ Wall Anchors were also installed to help counteract the pressure from the surrounding soil outside the foundation. Together, these systems provided the long-term support needed to stabilize the failing wall.
As shown in the after photo, the basement wall is now fully reinforced and structurally secure. John can now enjoy peace of mind knowing his home has reliable, long-term foundation support in place.
Julia, a homeowner in Charlottesville, Virginia reached out to us at Fortress for repairs on a bowing block wall in her basement. Our team inspected the area and then installed 12 CarbonArmor Wall Support Straps to the affected area's. CarbonArmors are a great choice for minor wall movement and can be easily finished over.
Michael had started noticing signs of foundation settlement at his Charlottesville home, including cracks and doors that no longer closed properly. Recognizing that these issues could worsen over time, he contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a professional inspection. To permanently stabilize the foundation, Tyler and his crew installed 6 Push Piers along the exterior of the home. These piers transfer the weight of the structure to deeper, more stable soil, providing long-term support and helping prevent further settlement.
This customer called us to stabilize the main beam supporting her floor. We utilized our SmartJack system to ensure a lifetime of stability for her floors, and also performed a full encapsulation to transform this dark, dirty dugout basement into a clean, dry area!
